This course is intended to help designers understand that resiliency is a human characteristic related to the ability to return to some assemblance of normalcy after a stressing event, and that resiliency can be enhanced by durable infrastructure. The course will teach what characteristics make Reinforced Hollow Clay Masonry (RHCM) durable, due to the materials and unique manufacturing processes. The course will show examples of testing of the RHCM proving its durability, and show durable facilities constructed with RHCM.
