Cory Henry is the founder and design director of Atelier Cory Henry, the international architectural practice based in Los Angeles, and teaches design studio at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. His background has led to a transdisciplinary approach to design through an integration of visual arts, architecture, and urban design.

Henry won the National On Olive Emerging Architect competition, and has designed projects of various types and scales. His work has been featured in multiple publications including Architect Magazine, Empathic Design: Perspectives on Creating Inclusive Spaces (Island Press), Architect Record, Frontrunner Art Collective, and others. He has lectured at the National Building Museum and several universities across the country.

While at MacDowell, Henry concentrated on his research and design strategies for public spaces and landscapes as arenas of cultural expression and social interaction. During this time, he produced a series of concepts and drawings aimed at developing a cultural complex in rural South Carolina within the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor. He was awarded the Bogliasco Fellowship and will continue his research there.
