Description
On this year's 2024 MDC Modern Home Tour discover recent modern hidden gems each located within three distinct Carmel area private residences.
We will explore the Carmel Highlands with a residence by Studio Schicketanz (local), a Carmel High Meadows residence by Piechota Architecture (SF) and a Carmel-by-the-Sea residence by Jobe Corral Architects (Austin, TX). You will see how each project captured the essence of their own micro-regional context with their creative use of modern design and materials.
Chartered tour buses depart from in front of the Social Hall on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Tour participants will receive a box lunch, refreshments on the bus and a post-event reception. Tour returns to the Asilomar close to 5 p.m.
Attendees should be aware that there is walking from the bus to the homes and that some of the private homes on the tour are multi-level with stairs. Please note -you will need to remove your shoes inside the homes, so feel free to wear some fun socks to show off!
