Reed Kroloff is a nationally renowned leader in the fields of architecture, urbanism, and design. He is currently Dean of the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), and once served as the Director of Cranbrook Academy of Art and Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills, MI, as well as Dean of Tulane University School of Architecture in New Orleans, which he led through Hurricane Katrina and its recovery. Kroloff is the Founding Principal of jones|kroloff, which develops strategy for clients in the architecture and design industry and also guides architect selection processes. The recipient of the American Academy in Rome’s 2003 Rome Prize Fellowship, Kroloff also served as Editor-in-Chief of Architecture magazine. As a noted authority in the field, he writes and lectures widely, has appeared in a number of television programs, and is a regular critic at professional organizations and architecture schools across the country. He holds a BA in History from Yale University and his M.Arch from University of Texas, Austin.
