California is on a legislated pathway to a cleaner, more efficient future, and this presentation will establish how 2022 Energy Code (California Building Energy Efficiency Standards or Title 24, Part 6) is a big step in that direction. We will explore how the Energy Code’s requirement for cost-effective energy efficiency measures, as regulated by the Warren-Alquist State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Act, as well as recent additional legislative goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, have shaped the current and future Energy Code.
