Matt is the Chief Strategy Officer for the UCSF Faculty Practice and Ambulatory Services, and Vice President Strategy for UCSF Health. In his role, he leads planning for growth initiatives related to the UCSF Faculty Practice, Ambulatory Services, and Behavioral Health including service line planning, new business development, ambulatory facility planning, and strategic capital management. Matt previously served as Executive Director Strategic Planning for UCSF Health overseeing market analytics and development of the UCSF Health Strategic plan.
Prior to UCSF, Matt spent five years at Kaiser Permanente leading planning for six hospitals in northern California, including development of the Kaiser Oakland and Kaiser San Leandro Medical Centers. In addition, Matt was Vice- President of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and Dignity St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. Matt received his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.
