Katie McCone is the Sr. Program Manager for Battelle
Katie is a leading expert in guiding executives through digital transformation, building strategic technology plans and creating budgets for capital projects ranging from $500M - $4B. In her previous role, Katie directed consulting engagements that identify operational workflow inefficiencies, technology countermeasure solutions and implementation prioritization. In 2020, she served on a COVID taskforce establishing over 1,000 additional bed capacity for hospitals, as well as for NYC and the Navajo Nations. Katie also has experience as a national government business manager where she trained engineering firms on chem-bio filtration and pressurization requirements for State Department US embassy projects.
Katie is dedicated to improving outcomes by providing digital transformation. She is dedicated to guiding hospitals to achieve new levels of digital transformation while improving KPIs, patient and clinician safety and patient experience. Katie is recognized as a transformational leader that breaks down department silos to develop technology roadmaps that impact the entire organization.

An active Board member, Katie has contributed to her community by serving on multiple nonprofit boards. Her commitment to healthcare is evidence through her participation as the Women in Healthcare DC Board member (2018), Baltimore founding Board member (2019-2020) and National Industry Board member (2021-2022). Katie has also served as a Make-A-Wish Advisory Board member and as the Junior League of Annapolis Past-President.
Katie received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She is currently attending Johns Hopkins University for her MBA in Healthcare Administration, Innovation and Technology.
